Okay, so... I had an accident with this one. See, I scanned this version in first, decided I didn't like his chin, tried to do a quick fix job, liked how the fix job turned out... and then realized I'd put my hand down on the black portion and smudged it across his face. Saying I was pissed doesn't begin to cover it. It was like the Jerry Springer show for about twenty minutes after that. My poor doggie... she thought I was dying or something and came over as I sat on the floor cussing at myself for being so STUPID!
Anyway, I tried to fix THAT problem, but wasn't entirely happy with how it was fixed. So... this is the Before Shit Happened version, and the After Shit Happened version is in the scraps. Feel free to investigate and decide which is better... not that there's much of a difference between the two.
But, enough about evil hands, let's talk about this baby right here. I like this one. I tried to take The Silver Raven's advise and make his arms a little more curvy. I THINK I pulled it off. I really like this one, I have to say. heehee... sexy Sanzo... *giggles madly* Okay, I'm done, feel free to say your piece about it!
yes, the arms work a bit better. Still, the forearms look a little too...wimpy. But the coloring is pretty nice. Are you still going to try to color it/another copy on the computer?
Yeah, still working on the computer version. Here's how it goes:
Me: Okay, open file... there's the pic... layer... WHAT THE *bleep*???
Yep, it's become a comic routine in the house. I've told my dad if he hears something breaking through the window, it's either me or the computer. His response? "If you throw that computer out the window, you're gonna be following it reeeeal quick!" Wow... fatherly love, huh?
Anyway, if I can get all this sorted out (I really am hopeless when it comes to computers!) that's gonna be the first one I post up!
Do you have any suggestions how to fix the forearms? I took a look at it, and I can't see anything with the proportions, so maybe it's the highlighted lines? But, if I add more, he's gonna look like he's on steroids or something. So... hit me back with what you think on that!

It came out well! I can't see your problem with it. The anatomy is really good, it looks realistic. I always make my charries too skinny XD Nice colour!! Haha, when I get mad at inanimate objects and call them stupid, my dad always says 'It doesn't have a brain it can't be stupid. It's the one using it who is' XD

*glares* Grrr... that's what my dad says, too. Or, "It's not a computer error, it's the user." *rolls eyes* yeah, yeah... the whooooole world knows I'm incompetant on a computer. Just fix the damn thing so I can use it!

I think it's mostly his right forearm that bothers me; in comparison to the other, it is a little too skinny. Not much, just a little. Also, I think it might taper out a little too quickly. A suggestions for drawing males (and I had to do thing), take a look at guys you know. It's mostly the muscling that is different for them (of course, there are other things as well).
Anyway, hope that helps. I might be a little too nit-picky, though. But maybe also curve the outsides of the forearms a little more (don't have the arm men, make both sides a little more concave...I think that might be the problem..of course, it isn't anything really big.).
No, no, you're not being too picky at all! You're being helpful, and I appreciate that. Besides, I ASKED for your advice! *shakes head and grins* Silly little faerie... I mean, raven. No, actually, I think you might be right on that. I don't know about the tapering out toon soon (that's about where I measured them to be... could be wrong though), but the curvature I think is dead on. Easily corrected, though, on the computer AND in the picture...

mmmm i likey! great job on sanzo's eyes, i always have trouble with them. i like the highlighting on his gloves and shirt. the prayer beads make great lines through the piece, nice composition. how big is this in real life?
